The tragic legend of Tristan and Yseut tells a tale of love, loyalty and jealousy. Alla Francesca create an atmosphere of magic and human emotion, singing lais found, with melody, in a Viennese manuscript of the 13th century, which are interspersed with dances and Estampittas of 13th and 14th century Europe.
“Alla Francesca’s utterly convincing recreation of this music is full of magic, passion and humanity.” Barry Witterden BBC Music Magazine
