Dr. Yonit Kosovske maintains an active and international career as a soloist and collaborative artist on harpsichord, chamber organ, modern piano and fortepiano. Her repertoire spans the Renaissance through Contemporary music. She has been noted for her creative and elegant programming, and has been applauded for her sensitive and fiery performances.
Originally from the United States, Yonit moved to Ireland in 2011 when she was appointed Lecturer of Music at the Irish World Academy of Music and Dance, University of Limerick. Yonit holds a Doctor of Music from Indiana University Jacobs School of Music with a minor field in Music History and Music Literature. Other degrees include a Master of Music from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music and a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance from Rutgers University Mason Gross School of the Arts. She also studied at the Rubin Academy of Music and Dance in Jerusalem and at the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston. Her book 'Historical Harpsichord Technique, Developing La douceur du toucher' was published by Indiana University Press in 2011.
