Galway Early Music is delighted to invite members of the public to join this early music workshop. The workshop is suitable for recorder, flute and string players who read music and play at approx grade 2/3 level. We will work on two pieces, Tanzen and Springen and Kommt, ihr G'spielen, both of which are in 4 parts and we will assign parts parts beforehand and expect you to look at them at home to get the most out of the workshop. The workshop will last one and a half hours and will be facilitated by Helen Hancock.
Helen teaches and conducts at Coole Music and Arts, Gort, and is the Director of the Whistleblowers Recorder Ensemble. Helen is also a soprano and will also be performing in Taking the High Road: Women's Voices in Renaissance and Baroque Music.
Please Note: Children with the requisite skills are welcome to join the workshop, but we ask that they are under the supervision of an parent for the duration of the workshop.
