Welcome to our FREE SUPERMOON ZOOM!
Join Teddie Hwang (baroque flute) and Yonit Kosovske (harpsichord) to hear them talk about their recent collaboration at the 2022 Galway Early Music Festival. They'll take listeners behind the scenes and share how the programme came about, the curation process, and the concepts behind the photography. The talk will include clips from the live concert.**
Premiered at the Galway Early Music Festival, Discovering Light is a concert inspired by celestial beings and the wonder of our natural night sky. Baroque flutist Teddie Hwang and harpsichordist Yonit Kosovske invite listeners into a space of contemplation in our starry cosmos, accompanied by Teddie's nightscape images especially curated for this program. The programme features music by J.S. Bach, J.Ph. Rameau, G. Ph. Telemann, J.C.F. Fischer, and other Baroque composers along with landscape astrophotography from the spectacular dark skies of Europe and the USA.
July 13th also coincides with the appearance of a supermoon, one of three in this year. To conclude the hour, Teddie will provide a short explanation about this astronomical event before sending audience members off to moon watching.
